Homebased Head Start

Name of Specific Service Offered:  Head Start child and family development for children ages prenatal to 3 years old in the home, during weekly meetings.

All year.

Income Guidelines to get this service: 
This service is available to families at 130% or below the Federal Poverty Level.  Please refer to the income chart.

What the service gives you:  The core service offered by the Head Start Home Based option is a weekly home visit with a trained educator, usually 1 to 1 ½ hours, focusing on parenting and family strategies to achieve school success. Head Start provides complete family development service, including:  certified instructors, accredited curriculum, information about health, dental and mental health screenings, and family stability learning opportunities – such as Family fun nights, socialization activities and parenting classes events.  The service is available at no charge to families who qualify; we also serve children with diagnosed disabilities.
